A shanty inspired by Christopher Wood’s painting “The Fisherman’s Farewell” It has three verses, each from the point of view of a different character in the painting. Behind these three main characters in the painting, the father’s colleagues are pushing their fishing boats out into St. Ives Harbour ready for a fishing shift.
