Be An Agent For Change

On May 13th Cheryl once again participated in one of fairandfunky’s Fairtrade Schools’ Conferences, this time at the beautiful Halifax Minster. Cheryl worked down in the undercroft where her groups composed music inspired by the stories of four contrasting Fairtrade items (a bunch of bananas, a colourful hat from Thailand, some roses from Kenya and a singing bowl from Northern India) and also learnt the specially composed-for-them song “Be An Agent For Change” using ideas from the composing workshops and also the World Fairtrade Organisation’s current slogan. The groups assembled at the end of the day in the nave for speeches, certificates and to sing the song together:
