Crocodilus Niloticus

Year 4 at St. Michael’s Academy have been learning about Ancient Egypt, so linking their musical studies into that, they’ve created a musical drama based around the scared creature, the crocodile, in particular using the traditional story about Webaoner the priest and his Wax Crocodile, with body percussion incidental music, tuneful chants in 7/4 time (Crocodilus Niloticus), solos, multiple narrators and instrumental accompaniments. The two classes came together to perform their work to some invited others. For more details of this project, have a look here!
