During much of 2014 I’ve been working on a project with photographer Jonathan Bradley, composing music to go with a set of twelve of his photos of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. The result was “Newcastle View” which you read about in more detail and see the finished result of here. I used the idea of footwear to create a nursery rhyme, Gannin On Wor Feet, which is then fragmented and developed to create the 12-13 minute soundtrack to a slide show of the photos. The 12 photos together with Jonathan’s philosophy behind his People:Space project brought to mind the people who might be moving through the places in these images. The final project was shown at the Digitalab Gallery in Newcastle in October 2014.
