Lullaby At Lanercost

This year I composed what I and many others consider to be one of my best pieces: Lullaby of Silences. I set out to wrote something emotional, yet quick to learn, and site-specific to the Bridge Singers’ concert at Lanercost Priory in Cumbria. It fitted all those criteria and has been performed successfully four times during the autumn, including a very moving performance next to the statue of Elizabeth Dacre Howard in the Priory ruins. You can read a full write up of the performances and composing process here: Song Stories: Lullaby Of Silences
