Following the success of Yew Tree Youth Music’s performances of “Something Special” in St. George’s Church, Lupset at the end of June, the Priest-in-Charge, Reverend Martine Crabtree, and congregation have been using Cheryl’s “Lupset Street Build” as a vehicle for prayer in their services, and community worship. The chant is a 7-part repeating pattern using street names from the Lupset Estate, and was used by the young performers in the show to re-create the building of the estate in the late 1920s. You can hear the chant here: http://youtu.be/5yNlXUnJ3uA . The church wrote on their Twitter feed, “Wow – amazing performance by the Yew Tree Youth […Music…] tonight. Thank you to all involved…ACE! @seapieparcel #lupsetsgottalent…” and “Why not use @seapieparcel song to pray for people who live here in Lupset…listen and pray…”
