Quiet Window

During the preparations for the Magical Glass concert, I was asked by one of the choir members to compose my new piece about the window in St. Michael’s Church which needs repairing. Unlike most of the windows in the church it has no images and only a tiny amount of stained glass. I dubbed it the Quiet Window, and composed my piece accordingly. The Bridge Singers performed the piece twice: once as the opener to their concert in that church, and again in the reverberant acoustics of Brinkburn Priory which sits upstream, along the Coquet.
