St. George’s AGM

The Yew Tree Youth Music Project, Something Special, included weekly musical workshops at St. George’s Community Centre on the Lupset estate in Wakefield and in the undercroft of the church next door. Their June performance was to later take place there too. In February 2013 they were asked to perform at the AGM of the Community Centre along with a couple more community groups who use the centre as their base, to illustrate some of the work they do there.  They performed their signature song, Cheryl’s  “Under My Hedge” and also the Maori stick song “E Papa”.

Brightlights Photography was on hand to mark the event. http://www.brightlightsphotography.com/

The church and centre provide many courses as well as a cafe and hub for local residents and visitors to meet up. Check them out here: http://www.stgeorgeslupset.org.uk/
