June’s shaping up with workshops, concerts, gardening…same as usual really. The thing is that things are never the same as usual in a composer’s life. Keep reading to find out what I mean as the days of June lengthen.

April will be the month I finish off the composing of my new piece for The Bridge Singers: The Quiet Window. For the first part of the month at least I will fill you in on progress made.
Composing and gardening will hasten on apace during March. There are gigs and workshops afoot. But it all starts as ever with a birthday cake.
During February I have a new piece to compose – a song about one of the windows in St. Michael’s Church, Felton. I expect this to be my main preoccupation. There’ll be other stuff too, no doubt – keep up each day right here!
The fade-ins are done with after two years of daily music/photo combos, I’m branching out a bit to include more variety. There may be fade-ins amongst them, but we’ll see. January already has some exciting composing projects lined up. So keep watching!
December’s usually all about Christmas performances for a musician and I don’t think this year will be any different. I shall also be embarking on another Musical Advent Calendar as I have for the last few years.
November is officially the start of getting music ready for my choirs’ festive concerts, so there’ll be a lot of that on here this month. Hopefully I’ll get time for other musical activities as well. Tune in here and see!
