After a one-day session at the Hepworth at the beginning of November I have no more concerts or workshops during November so I’m hoping to consolidate all my new video catalogue marketing and maybe compose a couple of new things floating around in my head.
From the earliest days of my composing career I have always been drawn to the poems and songs of Robert Burns, and have set many of his works to music. In recent times, I’ve also arranged many of the tunes he himself used for choirs and other ensembles.

Twelve of the best songs I’ve written which are or contain rounds. They’re the best because they’re popular, they have beautiful melodies, they flow along, they’re quirky, they’ve been performed many times…one or more of these reasons!
After a lot of pondering on approaches to take, I’ve plumped for “Twelve Of the Best” I shall produce video catalogues under particular headings. I did a trial one at the end of August using lullabies, and I shall continue to make more during September. There’ll be other news too, I’m sure!
