Snow White Songs: I Will, I Will, I Will, I Will, I Will

I Will, I Will, I Will, I Will, I Will
It’s a panto happy ending!

First composed as the ending for Alnwick South First School’s production Red Jemma Goes Back, I recently adapted the words of this song to suit a production of Snow White in another school and together with We’re Coming Home, Spag Time and A Catalogue of Unspeakable Fiendishness, formed the four songs “in a popular style” I was requested to come up with earlier this year.

Go to I Will, I Will, I Will, I Will, I Will

Slide23“Red Jemma Goes Back” was a remarkable project. Five winning stories from a school-wide (nursery to Year 4) story-writing project were moulded into a production with dance, drama and music by the staff of the school and three visiting performing artists, which was then performed by every child in the school in Alnwick Playhouse. A very exhilarating, enterprising and memorable experience for everyone involved, I would say, and a fine example of how the arts can be used as a stimulus for, and indeed are central to, learning across the curriculum. Work on this production began from or led onto activities and units of study in literacy, science, history, geography, DT, and ICT.
