The Bridge Singers were invited to perform in the Ascension Day Service at Brinkburn Priory on 30th May 2019 by the parish of St. Michael’s Felton and St. Mary’s Longframlington. The churches requested a Gloria, Sanctus, Agnus Dei and something for communion. The choir performed the Sanctus and Agnus Dei from Missa Luba as well as an abridged version of Monteverdi’s Gloria in 8 parts, arranged by Cheryl to suit the timings requested by the churches, and also Handl’s Ascendit Deus arranged by Cheryl to suit to forces in our choir. Here are snippets of each of the four contributions, recorded on an unattended machine with the input levels a little too high, so alas, a bit of crackling:
