I managed to do quite a bit of composing during 2020 in spite of the lockdowns and other issues. This one, which I have later described as a helicopter shanty, was actually a commission, from my pal Ann to mark the retirement of her husband, Greg from the RAF as a helicopter pilot. The song tells the story of his career and uses anecdotes from his wife, son, mother, and colleagues. The recording was made in January 2021.
