Reunion Lullaby

A few years ago I wrote a song for my pals in New Zealand, Glenda and Chris Landreth for the occasion of their family reunion – 150 years since their ancestor Robert Landreth arrived in New Zealand. Chris and Glenda’s son Matt sang the song on that occasion with their niece Rebekah accompanying. This year, Jamie and I made a video for Glenda’s birthday of us singing the choral version of it, and I used lots of Glenda’s photographs of places in New Zealand that have some part in Robert Landreth’s story. He was a stonemason from the Borders region of Scotland and there’s some use of the vocabulary of his trade and the places he came from and worked in when he got to New Zealand. Here’s the video of Lullaby Of Robert Landreth.
