Ca The Yowes (Recorders) (arr.)

£2.50

A rather ethereal arrangement for 8-part recorder consort of one of Burns’ most well-known songs. He composed the pastoral lyrics for this in 1790, having heard the melody sung by a clergyman, Mr Clunyie, and then notated by a friend.

Here is an extract from the first performance by Fingers Adrift.

There is also a re-arrangement of this arrangement, for SATB choir.

There are lots more arrangements of Robert Burns’ songs here: Burns Arrangements
